What is Geocaching?
Geocaching is the modern version of classic Treasure Hunting.
In Geocaching, the location co-ordinates of hidden items are disclosed (in geocaching terms simply called "geocaches" or "crypts") and the players use GPS devices or appropriate mobile phones to seek these locations.
Geocaching as a recreational activity began in 2000, when commercial GPS technology with 1m accuracy became available to the general public.
There are various Geocaching websites around the world where geocaching fans publicize crypt coordinates. Some of these sites are totally open, while others require free registration first.
